Jesus replied, ‘If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’ -John 14:23

Today’s Word:
Listen, for I am calling you to a deeper place of obeying Me. Obeying and listening to My Spirit. For the one who is wholeheartedly obedient, is never weighed down by regrets. Train your ear to know and hear My still small voice, for I have simple acts of kindness inspired by My Spirit that I desire to show you. Indeed, I have many good and powerful things for you to do, but all deeds begin by the simply hearing My word and stepping out to do it.

Your obedience is the doorway to seeing My power manifested. But remember, even in obedience you will require My help, because obedience is supernatural, not natural. So, do not feel that you are weak if you need to ask for My help, even to obey. For dependence on Me, leaning into Me, walking with Me has always been My plan and My design. If you need Me, then that is a good thing. Now, understand this thing and embrace the way of obedience with fresh strength.

Consider the first miracle of Jesus’ ministry on the earth. It was the miracle of the water that was turned into wine. When the wine ran out at the wedding, the servants asked Mary, ‘What shall we do?’ She told them, ‘Do whatever Jesus tells you’. When the servants were told to ‘fill the jars with water’ they ran, and ‘filled them to the brim’. It was the wholehearted obedience of the servants that captured the fullness of the blessing when it was released.

Half hearted obedience, or partial obedience, never secures My full blessing. Not that I withhold My blessing, but obedience is like setting the table; when the vessels are put in place, when the cups, and plates and bowls are present, then they are ready to be filled. In the same way, your obedience makes things ready, prepared, put into place, so that I can begin to pour and pour and pour. So, dare to be obedient, even when it’s hard. For good things await, and rewards will be released that will be beyond what you could have ever hoped for.
