Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples. As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love.” -John 15:5-9
Today’s Word:
My beloved, you are My workmanship, created in Christ to do good works, which I have prepared beforehand. I would call you to step forward into those good works, only your shoulders are fully weighed down and stacked with your own burdens. Therefore you cannot share in My burdens, until you first allow Me to bear yours.
Cast off your burdens now, for I have grace and peace and renewed hope waiting for you. Have I not said, ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God’. So, begin to do that now, as you practice My words, ‘Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you’.
When your burdens pass into My safekeeping, then you will be ready to step out and sow My seeds of compassion for others. For this is My design says the Lord. As I bear your burdens, then also you can share in Mine. Therefore, plant My words in your heart and, ‘Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.’
