Intro:

Obeying Jesus and resisting the enemy is a daily lifestyle if you want to walk in victory. The apostle Peter tells us, “Be of sober [spirit,] be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Keeping alert is important because the devil is looking for a chance to spoil your witness. In order for your testimony to lead others into freedom, then staying close to Jesus and resisting temptation is key. These bible verses reveal several ways to resist evil.

Prayer:
Lord, You have brought me out of darkness into Your kingdom of light. I thank You Jesus that You have set me free, and made the way of escape during times of temptation. You have given me authority to resist the devil and bind his powers. I am so grateful that I am no longer subject to the evil one and his schemes.

I submit myself to You Lord and I stand firm in the truth that you have shown me. I cover myself in the armor of God (see Ephesians chapter 6) and stand firm in Jesus name against the devils schemes today. I reject you Satan, in Jesus Name, you have no authority over me be-cause I am purchased by the blood of the Lamb. I flee temptation according to Your Word Lord, and I walk away from all critical and unloving conversations. I cancel all evil schemes against me and my family. I take refuge in You dear Lord, You are my Rock and Redeemer.

1 Corinthians 15:34 “Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak [this] to your shame.”

Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.”

Matthew 18:18 “Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
