Intro:
The oppressed and needy are one of God’s top concerns. Do you consider the needy and show kindness to the oppressed? Do you have a heart of compassion toward others? God’s word says a great deal about this subject. Review these bible verses and seek to join God in His deep compassion for the oppressed.
Prayer:
Lord, You came to me when I was oppressed and spiritually blind. You cared about me and delivered me. Your compassion saved me. Your word says, “You stand at the right hand of the needy… to save him from those who judge his soul.” I want to stand with you for the cause of the poor and needy. Sometimes I have looked the other way, and pretended not to see the needs around me. Lord, please forgive me.
Baptize me with Your heart of compassion for the outcasts of this world. All that I am today and all that I possess is because of Your love. It all belongs to You Lord and I ask that You would show me someone this day that I can touch with Your unfailing love.
