As I was going about my business one day, I suddenly felt God’s nearness in a powerful way. He led me to pull together a bouquet of Bible verses about our hearts sometimes getting weighed down with anxiety and how He meets us with His amazing goodness.

An anxious heart weighs a man down. Therefore, cast all your anxiety on Him, because he cares for you. Do not fret, it only leads to evil. When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Do not fret when men succeed in their ways, and when they carry out their wicked schemes.

For we do not have a high priest, who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet, without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you.

And so we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what can man do to me?”
