Are you stuck between a rock and a hard place right now? Do you have too many obstacles coming your way, and not enough break-throughs? You can’t seem to find the answer and you can’t find someone around you to clue you in.

Are you stuck between a rock and a hard place right now? Do you have too many obstacles coming your way, and not enough break-throughs? You can’t seem to find the answer and you can’t find someone around you to clue you in.

I know you may be in that place right now, because as I was praying, the Lord told me to remind you to seek Him for wisdom. Wisdom isn’t just head knowledge, but the ability to know how to apply that knowledge and information to our specific situation. If you need wisdom, the first thing to understand is that God just can’t wait to give it to you.

Here’s three quick steps on what to do:

1. Ask.  “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” –James 1:5
2. Seek God and His word; so, turn off the Facebook, the email, the cell phone, the gaming, and the TV. Break open your Bible and start pressing in to God. “Let the word of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
–Colossians 3:16
3. Take note. As you’re pressing in and you begin to get a clue about what the Lord is saying to you, write it down. Sometimes, whole messages arrive to us in little pieces at a time. “The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” –Proverbs 19:8

Jesus, we thank You. You are the God that loves to give wisdom, and You give it generously. We come before Your throne of grace right now and we ask You for insight for the unfolding of Your word that gives light. We ask that Your word would be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We look to You before we look to anyone else, even to our own selves, dear God. We thank You, that You are the rewarder of those who seek your face. Thank You for divine release for that which we need. Thank You for breaking forth and breaking through. We thank You in Jesus’ name and for His namesake. Amen.
