Intro:
Jesus is the Worthy One. Giving our lives up as a ‘living sacrifice’ to Him, is our only reasonable response. May the Lord help us daily to walk in a manner worthy of Him.
Prayer:
Lord, There is none like You, Worthy and exalted above all others. You humble Yourself to behold the things in the heavens and on the earth. You are greatly feared in the council of the holy ones and the angels cry out, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy.’ Lord I ask for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit so I can live my life in a manner that is worthy of You. Lord, ‘Teach me to number my days that I may present to You a heart of wisdom.’ Keep me near to you, that I may be sober and remember that soon I will see You. I want to abide in You, so that I will ‘not shrink away in shame at Your coming.’
I ask for strength to keep on the narrow path. To be busy with the things that matter in Your kingdom. To be set apart from worldly concerns and be caught up in the cares of Your heart. Thank You Lord for hearing my prayer and giving me the help I need. May You be magnified because You alone are Worthy.
Scripture:
Revelation 4:11 “Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things, and because of Thy will they existed, and were created.”
Revelation 5:9 “And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to break its seals; for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for God with Thy blood [men] from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.’”
2 Samuel 22:4 “I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; And I am saved from my enemies.”
Revelation 5:11-12 “And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.’”
Psalms 99:5 “Exalt the LORD our God, And worship at His footstool; Holy is He.”
