“A person’s strength comes solely from being united with the will of God.”

-Bonhoeffer

Sometimes our mouth goes on automatic. It stays in gear without us

engaging it. Zoom. Swirl. Winds of rushing noise. Our mouth.

Research shows the average person speaks 16,000 words per day.* And those words are your imprint on the world.

Take a minute think about it. Are you negative? Do you gossip? Are you critical of others? Rude? King David prayed, “Lord put a guard over my mouth.”Ps.141:3

Why? All of creation came into being by what was spoken. (Gen.1:3) In fact, “the power of life and death is in the tongue.”Prov.18:21

To build up. To tear down. To create. To destroy. Your mouth.

Right now this is my prayer. Put a guard over my mouth, Lord. It’s takes supernatural power to walk & talk like a citizen of heaven. Let’s access that power now. And impact the lives of those around us.

Let me share a great resource with you in closing. The man who mentored me in intercession Leonard Ravenhill wrote an article titled, “The Taming of the Tongue.”

There may be a small fee to access this article but you will find it worth your time.
