I would like you to join me in a prayer for the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The shooting that took place at First Baptist Church Sunday morning November 5, 2017, is a terrible evil, a stinging loss, and a deep wound on the community.
“Lord together we declare You are the God of all comfort. We ask that You would be near and enwrap each survivor of the victims murdered in the Sutherland Springs, Texas, shooting. You are near to those who are crushed in spirit and You save the brokenhearted. Also please heal the wounded who are in the hospital now, may they have a solid recovery. We also pray for Your manifest Presence to surround every first responder who helped at this terrible scene, and that You would lift and shift the trauma and diminish the memories that they do not need to carry. Let Your healing Presence and Your redemptive help restore the souls of the Sutherland Springs community in Jesus name. Amen.”
In times like this you and I may not be able to do a lot but we can always pray.
And prayer brings an impact that is not to be missed.
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Ps. 34
