Intro:
There is nothing like the word of God. With it He spoke the world into existence. By His word the sick are healed and the dead are raised. You can have unshakable confidence in God’s word. The scripture says, “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 You can honor God’s word through obedience and faith, making a difference for His Name throughout all eternity.
Prayer:
Lord, Your word is awesome! By it, You have set the planets in motion and called the stars to their place. Thank You for giving us Your word. Forgive me for the times I have neglected such a wonderful treasure. Indeed, Your word brings me life. I submit myself to the authority of Your word. Show me where my life departs from the straight path of Your word, and give me the grace to enter by the narrow gate.
I want to be a disciple that brings a smile to Your face. Help me to treasure Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You. I want the truth of Your word to be in my mouth so I can honor You with my lips. “I rejoice at Thy word, As one who finds great spoil.” -Psalms 119:162
