Dear friend,
On Tuesday July 28, 2020 we celebrated the 38th anniversary of Keith Green’s life. Keith was a dear friend of mine who changed the world with his music and message.
Keith ended up becoming an icon of sorts for personal revival and reaching the lost by the time his life was cut short at 28 years old.*
My husband and I were leaders at the Christian ministry that Keith and his wife Melody started. In the hive of regular bible studies and discipleship our community went on to become a global publishing center impacting believers around the world with the no compromise message.
Over the years I have met many people who have excitedly told me how the message and the music changed their lives. Both in America and also in some of the most far flung mountain side temples in Asia.
“This generation of Christians is responsible for this generation of souls on the earth!”

Keith Green - Honoring A Legacy
Here are some of the things people said:
- This message sent me into foreign missions.
- My life has never been the same.
- I know there’s only 100% for God or nothing.
- Keith’s message messed me up for heaven’s sake.
- I’ve never lost my fire to see revival in the Church.
If you are one of the believers who were impacted by Keith’s message, I would like to ask you a question…
How is that impact affecting your life today?
It’s important to ask yourself this question. The prophet Isaiah wrote, “The righteous perish and no one takes it to heart…” Is.57
Taking things to heart is the first step to positioning ourselves for victory.
I woke up this morning thinking about how much we need revival. How much the world needs a visitation from God brought on by a multitude of worshipping, prayerful, victorious believers.
Even now when things are disheveled from Coronavirus, the one thing you and I can get in order is the temperature of our relationship with God.
Hot.
or…
Cold.
Let’s seek Him.
Let’s turn up the temperature.
Let’s honor the legacy of those who have gone before us.
In His love and mine,
Kathleen

A young couple came to our church in West Texas from the California Jesus Movement in the early 70’s. I heard Second Chapter of Acts in a small church in Midland in 1973/74. About that time, there was a move of several musicians and key pastors to Lindale, Texas.
My husband was a musician (had gigs in Austin before he and I became Christians); and in 1975 decided to go to school to become a pilot. We were in school in Waco, when we heard about the crash.
We loved Keith Green’s music; we were joined in Spirit to the move of God, especially in Texas. His tragic death impacted us for many years. My heart has always been broken for Keith’s family.
Although I have remained on the fringes, I believe God has and will multiply the harvest. Thank you for sharing and reminding us of the “stones of remembrance” in our journey.
My parents lived through the Jesus Movement, and were very blessed by Keith Green’s music. I honestly have not heard much of it before now. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song by Keith Green! It brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you Kathleen for sharing Kieth and Melody’s beautiful story. His song “ Oh Lord, You are beautiful “ brought tears to my eyes. We continue to pray for a revival in America and the world. We look to Jesus for our comfort and peace during these difficult times.
Stay happy and healthy! God bless you!
HE IS BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for this reminder from His faithful child who is now singing in His presence.
This song, “O Lord, You’re Beautiful” and many others of Keith’s have rambled through my mind and heart, even filling me as I flew on an airplane! We sang his music in church. Also “There is a Redeemer”!
The Lord gave me a deep love for Jesus and a passion for revival of the Church in 1976. For the next six years, I sought to understand what that meant. While I heard (and sang) “O Lord You’re Beautiful” during that time, the song that profoundly poured into me was “There is a Redeemer.” I listened to it over and over. I have been in a ministry of revival with pastors and other Christian leaders since then, and the Lord Jesus is more and more beautiful day by day. Thank you so much, Keith and Melody and Kathleen.
This song made me cry. It is beautiful like the life of the man who sang it. I pray, Dear God, please hear the prayers of those who love you and save America. Cleanse our nation from its sin I pray. Amen
Not only my life but the lives of my 4 sons.
I was a Christian for less than two years when I met Keith and Melody. Keith’s 100% sold out to God was what impressed me most and I’ve never changed. We were a small group, but on fire to share Jesus. It blesses me now, at my old age, to still meet those who want to give all to the Lord. We need more and more of those who feel the same to spread this word.
