Intro:
Jesus is our Intercessor, one who triumphs through travail. His followers have an open invitation to join Him in this priestly ministry. Let the Holy Spirit fill and guide you into prayer partnership with Christ.

Prayer:
Lord, I want to join You in Your ministry of intercession. You said in Your Word, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.’ Lord I don’t want to miss out on the most important part of ministry. I know that prayer is where the power is released. You said, ‘I will bring them to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer,’ I’ve felt that joy a few times, but I need a deeper touch.

Jesus, I make a new commitment to have prayer as my top priority. I will put aside extra time for Your word, and worship and water the ground of my heart for intercession. I ask You to forgive me for grieving You. There have been times when I felt Your tug but I pushed You aside. Lord please forgive me. I long to partner with You in the prayer that changes things.

Scripture:
Hebrews 7:25 “Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Hebrews 5:7 “In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.”

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us…”

Psalms 126:6 “He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying [his] bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves [with him].”

Hebrews 4:15-16 “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as [we are, yet] without sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.”
