Intro:
Jesus is our High Priest. He is the Father’s sovereign choice as mediator between man and God. His blood built the bridge of reconciliation. As you read these Bible verses remember we owe Him a debt of gratitude.

Prayer:
Jesus, I thank You for being my High Priest. You are a sympathetic High Priest, Your Word says, ‘He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are [but] dust.’ Your mercy is great dear Lord! Because of Your mercy I can confidently draw near to Your throne. You are there to receive my petitions and to bear the concerns of my heart.

Your goodness is too much for me. Jesus, help me to walk in a manner worthy of Your sacrifice. I repent for all the areas of my life that displease You. (name any sins specifically here and repent) I receive the cleansing of Your blood. Precious High Priest, I ask that You would be magnified through my life!

Scripture:
Hebrews 4:14 “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.”

Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

Hebrews 4:15-16 “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as [we are, yet] without sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.”

Ephesians 1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.”

Hebrews 7:24-25 “…but He, on the other hand, because He abides forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him…”
