Intro:
God is committed to doing justice but in His heart He loves mercy. It is because of His mercy that you are saved. You need a heart of mercy like your Master to guide you in your prayers. No prayer gets a quicker answer than the cry for mercy. Let your spirit draw near to the Lord as you see His wonderful heart of mercy.
Prayer:
Father the words of Your prophet Micah were, “He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you? But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?” Lord, I confess that sometimes I do not love kindness. I have been quick to form unloving opinions of others. Forgive me for not being merciful like You are. Father let my life overflow with Your love. I want to be patient and kind.
I ask for open doors today to extend mercy to others. To be understanding instead of critical; to be helpful instead of indifferent. I am so grateful for Your mercy. Lord, You are gracious, slow to anger and great in loving-kindness. Jesus, help me to be like You.
