I want to encourage you to look up a song on YouTube entitled “God of this City” written by the band, BlueTree and made known by Chris Tomlin. I want you to go view this song and just pray for your city, your village, your region, or your town. Whatever locality you live in, just use that song and lift up your voice before the Lord for the welfare of the place that you’re living in.
Proverbs 14:34 says,“Righteousness exalts a nation…” and 1 Peter 3:12 states, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.”
We don’t understand sometimes the impact, the virtue, the Presence, the peace, the goodness of God, and the purpose of God that’s released when we really connect up with Him through intercession.
“It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.” -Psalm 44:3
Cry out to God for the welfare of your city – will you do it?
