Hello my friend,

How are you doing? I am checking in with you to offer some encouragement.

This verse has been on my mind all day, maybe it’s for you:

“Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle.” Psalm 140

There’s no doubt the world we live in is shuttering under the impact of coronavirus. By no choice of our own we find ourselves encased in uncertainties. For many of us this is devastating. And there is no finish line on the horizon, yet.

What a relief that God will shield your head. That He promises to be your strong deliverer.

Yesterday I was reading an opinion piece on Fox News by Susan Grande. She said, “Although the stature and strength of our foe are unknown, the collective power of our resolve and resilience as a nation is very well known. That should give us comfort in the days and weeks ahead.”- Susan Grande

Let’s tuck in with Jesus. And partner with Him to be a source of strength, blessing, relief and generosity to those around us. So much is possible even at 6 feet of social distancing.

If you have an extra minute, read the poem I’ve included for you here below. Sending you hugs and hope.

Under His gaze,

Kathleen

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
