Hello my friend,

Today will be short and sweet (and important).

A very long ago when I fell in love with Wayne Dillard, it was during a time when I had a lot of decisions to make. Not just about my relationship with him but with a number of priorities that seemed to get bundled in a big heap at my front.

Wayne gave me an old devotional titled, “God at Eventide.” He marked one of the entries that highlighted the words Jesus mother spoke at the scene of His first miracle.

That first miracle happened at a wedding where they ran out of wine for their guests. Mary told the servants at the wedding, “Whatever he says to you, do it.” (John 2:1-10)

Jesus told the servants to go fill these large water jugs up, so they, “filled them to the brim.” When they took a sample of the water to the master of the wedding banquet, it had been transformed into exquisite wine. So, how does this apply to you and I today?

In front of us is a mountain of need. It’s a stinging need much like the wedding story that ran short of supplies for the guests. There are urgent things and emergencies swirled around with a good bit of uncertainty. Some of the needs have struck our own family. Other needs are among our neighbors. At the food-bank. Among friends who are jobless. Those wrestling through coronavirus. Families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. And for America, an important focus on racial equality.

So my word today to you is simple - whatever He says to you, do it. And just like the servants at the wedding, fill the water jugs up to the brim.

The world needs the miracle power of Jesus. And that power is seen, felt and heard through the obedience of those who listen to Him.

"Whatever he says to you, do it." - John 2:1-10

Let’s listen.

Let’s follow through.

It’s time for miracles.

In His love and mine,

Kathleen
