“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” -Matthew 16:19

Today’s Word:

If you have a key, what does it mean? That you’re the boss of something? It means you have the ability to secure, to shut, and to gain access. These keys are also the things that you use in prayer. Jesus gave you authority in prayer to shut out the enemy, darkness, and destruction. This authority also releases His Holy Spirit to move over peoples’ hearts, minds, and circumstances.

We alter the outcomes of things through the use of these keys. Prayer is not a religious ritual; it’s a relationship encounter with God. If your prayers are dry, it’s because you are not encountering God enough. If your prayers are unsuccessful, you might not be using your keys enough. Persevere, keep going until you get it and experience it! God’s word tells us, “Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you.” Do it today. Do it now if you can. God hears you and He will come; and when He comes close, you will hear Him.

Scripture:

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” -Luke 10:19

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” -Ephesians 1:18-21
