“As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better.”

– Steve Maraboli

A bad thing happened on my last international trip. When I reached my destination, my luggage didn’t. It was jam packed with valuable things for a rugged road trip I was rolling into.

What was I going to do? Let’s face it, unexpected things happen, right?

Then the answer struck me. Before jumping into the fray of a frantic shopping spree I needed to do two things:

  1. I needed to chose to keep my focus and energy for my mission not this mishap.
  2. Though this incident poked a hole in the bottom of my bucket I wasn’t going to let it sink me.

What would you do? When things don’t go as planned, catch your breath, pray and take the next step. Don’t plop, flop, or stop.

You and I will face interruptions, disruptions and even eruptions. Keep going. The birds are still singing. The stars still glimmer at night. And Jesus is with you.

The luggage didn’t resurface. But I made a choice to preserve my strength and focus on my goals.

And because of this, I had an AMAZING trip.
