Dear friend,

Shook hard. That’s what is happening to our planet. All at once economies are rattling, our mobility is restricted and our health is under threat. And no one seems to have a firm handle on this anywhere in the world.

So what can you do? I mean, what can you do in the midst of this unsound season?

Buckle up? Clear the decks? Freeze in place? Scream into the night skies?

I am grateful the Lord has given us something to do and we’ll get into that in a minute.

Chaos and His Kingdom

The truth is this isn’t the first time in human history when life has been severely interrupted. When was the last time you read the book of Daniel in the Old Testament?

Once you jump into this apocalyptic story you discover an amazing collection of events packed with buried treasures. One of those treasures is the message of God’s kingdom coming down to earth.

From the days of the tower of Babel to Daniel’s era people have tried to build their way up into heaven.
Lofty religious structure, mankind's attempt to break into the ethereal wonders of the afterlife.

Each time people tried to do this in their own strength and ingenuity, they got a double slap from defeat and disappointment.  However God does, in fact, desire this contact but from heaven to earth. From the top, down.

And it’s amazing to see God in action. His response to prayer. His protection over His people. And the declarations of the secular ruler’s when God’s kingdom is manifested in Babylon, wow. Why don’t you invest some time to strengthen your heart by reading or listening to the book of Daniel? You will be blessed!

Pray & Obey

The idea of God’s kingdom manifesting among mankind is also in the New Testament. Do you remember when the disciples gathered around Jesus saying, “Master, teach us how to pray.”

He said when you pray say, ““Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” What is God’s kingdom? Romans 14: 17 says, “righteousness, peace and joy.” So amid this uncertain season, lets pray everyday for His kingdom to come.

And when you are praying, be sure to offer yourself to the Lord to be a part of the solution. Let Him know you’re ready to get involved. Ask God how you can partner with Him?

You and I have the privilege to see His eternal kingdom come. To pray and obey. To see His love, light, life and liberty be released and received.

We are invited into friendship with God. To work with Him and to walk with Him in the garden.

And when that part of His kingdom comes, I reckon you and I will  finally be able to get along with ourselves and most everyone else too.

So, let’s get to it my friend.

In His love and mine,

Kathleen Dillard

This quote from Hudson Taylor has pulled me through some rough times. So in case this is exactly what you need to hear, here you go:
"It doesn't matter really how great the pressure is. It only matters where the pressure lies. See to it that it never comes between you and God. So the greater the pressure, the more that it pressures you to His chest."
