“What’s on your dashboard?” This is the question I asked believer’s in North Carolina recently.

If you drive a car then you know there’s: a speedometer; temperature; gas tank gauge. And it’s in your face so you can keep your car working well for you.

But how do your keep your life working well for you? And especially your life for the Lord? How can you have something to show at the end of your week, month or year?

You have to plan your dashboard. Your family relationships are already on your dashboard. Those are covenant relationships that will be with you throughout your journey. But what else should be on your dashboard?

Take a moment to ask yourself, and God, these 3 questions:

1. What does God want me to do for my country? If America is your passport country, ask God how you can pray and take action to make the United States a better place. Wherever you are a citizen you have the privilege of giving back to the nation of your residence. What’s on your dashboard for your home country?

2. What does God want you to do about Israel. This tiny piece of land is the eye of the needle of human history. We know we’re called to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm122:6); we also know, God says, “I will bless those who bless you.” (Gen.12:3) What are you called to do regarding Israel?

3. The great commission, you either go or send. How does God want you to partner with Him in reaching the un-reached people groups of the world? Do some research and get something specific on your dashboard about the un-reached* (see below)

You and I have to stay focused if we are aiming to sow love and goods deeds that will impact eternity.

Give YOUR dashboard some thought. And prayer. The things on your dashboard take priority and that’s why they get premium space. When you do this, it automatically organizes a thousand other things. Try it. You’ll see. And you’ll be BLESSED.
