Hugs to you my friend. Have you ever had someone ask you, “Hey, what are you thinking?” This question is always funny to me.
Because you and I both know our minds are fast action olympic runners. So that question needs to be, “what are you thinking at this millisecond?”
The issue is the mind has to be managed and you are the only one who can manage YOUR mind.
When I first became a disciple of Jesus I heard some exceptional teachings by Denny Gunderson on this topic. He shared that your emotions follow what your mind is thinking. So, your mind leads the way and your emotions tag along.
If you can get this right, then a lot of other things fall into place.
And this is something worth THINKING ABOUT.

How timely! (Isn’t He always?) My life experience was to the identify the negative, complain about it, in a very intellectual and comedic way, and then proceed on. It ain’t easy to “discern” my faulty thought process, confess my doubts and fears and repent…strange sensations, very strange…but this morning I did it after crying out to the Holy Spirit each time. I’m waling in victory through my Christ who strengthened me.

My heart, mind and prayers have been very much on the difficulties and suffering that many of my friends and their families have been going through in recent weeks and months. The list is long, but I know that our God is bigger than any prayer list I bring to Him, and that gives me hope. My heart is also aching for the victims and the families of the massacre in Pittsburgh at Tree of Life. These are the thoughts that came to me when you asked us what are we thinking about right now. Thank you Kathleen for this post today! Great timing! Things have been in great transition and change in my life, much pressure from all areas, physical health, ministry, etc…the enemy was using my mind thoughts to make me think everything I am doing is a wrong direction, when God had redirected my path to new territory for His new assignments! Now I see the things He is calling me to address to intercede for. I will press on into the mark of the high calling that I have in Him. I will keep seeking God for His ways are higher. This is such an important question for me as I am deep in the practice of seeking positive thoughts to express joy rather the negative ones that bring out sadness etc in me. To learn that the Lord knows what I am thinking helps me keep my focus on Him . No matter what I hear around me or through the media. He knows , Yet He does not chastise me, no He says “I am here dear one” .
This helps me stay close to Him.
