“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” -John 15:5

Today’s Word:

If you had to give your prayer life a grade right now what would it be? On a scale of one to ten, where are you at?

Prayer is an invitation to know Father God better and to know ourselves better because He made us. Prayer is about relationship, growing friendship, partnership, and creating with God. Our communication with Him can be done while walking, driving, doing the dishes, or shopping. It can be done in silence because it’s spirit to spirit: your spirit conversing with His spirit.

Prayer is not about getting a better grade in the class of “holy achievers,” it’s about connection, rest, restoration and reviving. Prayer is also about conquest, breakthrough, and bringing souls into liberation. The more we connect with the One who loves us most, the more we become strong, because we are plugging into the power source, His presence. It is here that He releases the dance instead of the duty, the wake up call to new things, new starts, and fresh horizons.

God is calling you. There is no one else like you. The sound of your voice is the unique breath of His Spirit expressed through your being. The new things that He wants to reveal to you and through you will bring freedom, joy, correction, and healing. So where are you at? God is calling you into something more, right now.

Scripture:

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” -John 15:15

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” -Psalm 16:11
