“Joy is a sign of life.”
~ Dr. Bruce Thompson

Dear Friend,

Good morning. How are you doing?...

I made a big mistake on my last flight. I over packed. I told myself, “it’s okay, all you need to do is get your luggage to check in.”

The problem started when I reached check in. “Your flight is rescheduled and we are giving travel vouchers to customers to go to another airport.”

There I was. A backpack, a stuffed duffle bag, a medium suitcase and a large one.

Lug is the first part of: luggage...

If you travel a lot you get smart about keeping things compact. This time I wasn’t smart.

Traveling light is smart not only in our air and road travels but also as we journey through life.

Since we’re still near the beginning of 2022, it’s a good time to think about the things we can cut down on.

Here’s a quick list of things that might be worth downsizing:

Worry. Could you give that a smaller space in your luggage? Or discontinue carrying it altogether
Unforgiveness. That weighs a lot. Consider restricting this one.
What about negative self talk?
Anger.
Gossip.
Oppressing others with your mood?

Could you let some of these things go and LOSE THE WEIGHT?

When you travel light you’re more fit for the good fight of faith. And you have more JOY on your journey both to enjoy and to be a blessing to others along the way.

In His Love and mine,

Kathleen Dillard
