We are the decisive factor in the affairs of the universe.” Derek Prince

I cleared some time to go into intense prayer for friends who were in trouble.
Suddenly the Lord said, “Where’s your sword?”

This surprised me. What was He talking about, my sword? Oh, then I figured it out: my bible. He added, “Never go to prayer without your sword.”

Why do you need a sword? You and I are in an epic battle of light and darkness, truth and deception, life and death. In fact things are at such a boiling point on the planet it isn’t even hard to believe this.

I work overseas* where there is always a crushing avalanche of need. But I also have a list urgent situations here on the home-front. Ailing family members, friends fighting cancer, others facing injustice and I know you also have a list.

So, when you pray into your battles and the burdens you are assigned too, remember to bring your sword.

Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John10:10

Let’s enforce the victory of Jesus and usher in the life, light and love He paid for. Amen.

In His Love and Mine,
