Get your ‘NICE’ on. Next year America will be going into presidential elections. I am wondering if we can start practicing now to, ‘get our nice on’?

Our best behavior. A big smile. A helpful hand. Debate without debasing? A part of the solution, not a part of the problem.

What if the energy we spent in complaining about our politicians and policies was redirected to prayer? Even if we carved out 50% of that time and talked to God instead, we might achieve a better outcome.

Some of you reading this are leaders and when you talk, people listen. But you haven’t always used your privilege of influence to create solutions. Drawing attention to the problem is not enough. And also falls short of the impact you have been created for. Please think about this.

I am grateful to be an American. I am grateful for the privilege of democracy. I am thankful for those who paid a price to bring us such a gift.

“We must all learn to live together as brothers or we will all perish together as fools. We are tied together in the single garment of destiny, caught in an inescapable network of mutuality.”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Elections are coming.

Let’s do better this time.

In His Love and mine,

Kathleen
