“Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”~Ps.143

How are you doing? As you’re digging into the warm summer, I’d like you to consider doing something.

Why don’t you lose some luggage? I’m not talking about your vacation necessities, packed in tight travel boxes. I’m talking about other luggage that you and I can lug along in life.

The word luggage was first recorded in 1590-1600, lug-age,  meaning, ’what has to be lugged about.’

Is there anything you are lugging along with you today? Are you carrying an offense that you can’t shake off? Do you have bitterness that pierces your heart? Are you triggered in anger with even a slight inconvenience?

None of use escape the temptation toward heavy responses and reactions. You will be slighted in this life. Over looked. Under appreciated.

Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I invite you to join me at the Journey of Forgiveness devotional this summer. Ask the Lord, “Is there luggage I am carrying right now that I can get rid of?” Then listen.

Begin to walk through the daily entries in this easy to read journal on forgiveness. Thousands of believers like you have used this devotional and have encountered freedom.

Bad stuff will happen to you and me this side of the veil of eternity.

The choice remains ours. Will we release the offense, the injustice, disappointment, and let God carry the weight of those things? Or will we keep lugging the luggage, letting it become a barrier between us and others and us and God?

Let’s make a decision this summer to learn the joy of traveling light.

Amen.

In His love and mine,
