Hello My Friends,

I haven’t shared a 911 Prayer Focus for awhile, but it’s time! My heart is breaking for the communities impacted by the catastrophic freight-train derailment that happened in Ohio recently. Did you hear about it? It’s been rather overlooked due to other worldwide crises.

The National Transportation Safety board said that on 2/3/23, 38 cars of a 150-car train derailed –  including 11 hazardous materials cars – and a huge fire ensued. In following days, to avoid a possible massive explosion, a controlled spill and burn-off of the most dangerous remaining chemicals was carried out. This sent additional toxic chemicals into the soil, and potentially deadly fumes up into the air. Testing continues, and much remains unknown, as to the long-term health impacts or the economic and practical impacts on the area.

Here’s a news summary as of February 17:

This situation is fearful, it’s stretching human wisdom and strength; may it lead many to cry out and find the promises of Proverbs 2:3-4, that indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Let’s Agree In Prayer:

“Lord, I come before your throne in Jesus name with confidence, and ask for You to extend mercy over the East Palestine, Ohio, chemical spill. Together we ask for supernatural involvement. For wisdom for each of the officials overseeing this serious accident. For protection and wisdom over each person working on diffusing these dangerous chemicals. For insight in cutting off long-term damage in the region. And for clear direction for each family and resident who are in close contact with these hazardous materials. Thank you that you are the God who hears and cares. We entrust this situation into your hands and thank you for your help. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Thank you, fellow prayer warriors.

Together we move forward under His gaze,

Kathleen Dillard
